Brief Professional may be used on an unlimited number of computers provided each user is covered by a purchased license. Each regular license, referred to as a copy, covers one user. A site license covers all employees of a company at one facility. A corporate license covers all employees of a company worldwide.

There is no time limit on usage of the software. The software may not be modified, reverse engineered, transferred, sub-licensed, sold, rented, leased, given or distributed by any means or in any medium.

The software is provided AS IS without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The user assumes all special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use, operation or performance of the product.
